New Chief Executive for FCDO Services

Mike Astell has been appointed as the new CEO of FCDO Services, part of the Foreign Commonwealth and Development Office.
Mike has over 25 years of leadership experience, developing businesses providing infrastructure and services in complex, international environments for large multinational corporates including Alstom, Shell and Centrica.
Mike joins FCDO Services at a pivotal time in its 75-year history when there is an increased focus on innovation and identifying new areas of growth.
Mike said, “I’m delighted to be joining an organisation with the pedigree and heritage of FCDO Services. I’m looking forward to continuing the great work being done here and exploring the opportunities we have ahead of us.”
Mike takes the helm from outgoing CEO Danny Payne who joined the organisation in 2008 and served as Chief Executive for the last six years.
